Candle and Wax Melt Safety

Our Aromatherapy Candles and Crystal Candles are hand made for your enjoyment, we want you to burn them safely and efficiently so it’s important to follow the safety guidance below.

• Before lighting remove your crystals and wash in warm soapy water, their energy has already infused into the wax.
• Trim the wick to 1cm before lighting each time you burn the candle.
• Make sure your candle is on a heatproof and level surface.
• Keep away from curtains and fabrics.
• Keep away from drafts.
• Keep pets and children away from lit candles.
• Never leave the candle unattended.
• On the first burn make sure the candle achieves a full melt pool to the edge of the container to avoid tunnelling.
• Never burn your candle longer than 4 hours.
• Don’t light your candle when tired in case you fall asleep. 
• Don’t let the candle burn all the way down, leave about 1 cm of wax at the bottom.

When extinguishing the candle use a candle snuffer or dip the wick into the wax, this avoids smoke being released into the room and spoiling the aroma.

Make sure the wick glow has fully extinguished.

Do not move the candle until it has completely cooled.

Our Aromatherapy Wax Melts can be safely used in a ceramic or electric burner made for the specific purpose of using with wax melts.

Place one or two melts into the burner making sure you don’t overfill the capacity.

Only use a standard 4 hour tea light not larger tea lights or scented tea lights.

The wax will not evaporate like candles which means they can be used again once the wax hardens.

When the aroma fades you can warm the wax in the burner and scoop the wax out with a piece of kitchen roll and safely disposed of.

Never pour melted wax into the sink.

Never place the burner into the freezer to shrink the wax for removal as this could damage and weaken the burner.

• Never leave the burner unattended.
• Do not add water or oils to the wax.
• Keep away from pets and children.
• Do not move the burner while lit.
• Always use on a heatproof flat surface.
